Shop This :: White Shoes for Spring

white shoes

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

Hi all! Who's in the mood for some serious shoe talk? I know, I know, when are you not in the mood to talk shoes ;) Well I have to confess, I've been on a shoe buying rampage craze. I'm pretty sure last week I bought 4 pairs of shoes within 48 hours....yeah, I have a problem, but in my defense this is what happens when I can't buy anything for a month and a half, I become a shopping monster.

Anyways :) a style of footwear I've been especially lusting over are white shoes. From flats to sneakers, sandals to pumps there is something about white shoes that makes even the most casual outfit so crisp and clean. Pair heels with relaxed boyfriend jeans, sneakers with a spring dress, or sandals with cut off shorts for a great update to classic spring/summer time looks.

Check out some of my favorites below and let me know what you think, white shoes hot or not?

white sneakers
1. Isabel Marant Baya Sneaker / 2. Nasty Gal Snake Charmer Flat / 3. Nike Dunk Sky Hi Wedge Sneaker / 4. Toms Classic Canvas Slip On / 5. Charlotte Olympia Kitty Slippers / 6. Converse All Star / 7. KG Kurt Geiger Liberal Trainer

white heels

1. Zara Wedge Court Shoe / 2. Michael Kors Adrielle / 3. Luichiny Daz Ey / 4. Lanvin Leather Pumps / 5. Alexander Wang Agata Glow / 6. Kurt Geiger Glory / 7. Charlotte Russe Patent Pointy Toe Pump / 8. Nine West Sally

21 Party Shoes To Get You In The Holiday Spirit

Well, it's here. The holiday season has landed. Downtown Chicago is ablaze with Christmas lights, holiday jingles are in the air, and I've officially dusted off my holiday movie collection.....ok that's a lie, I totally watch holiday movies in the middle of July. Love Actually, anyone? Best. Movie. Ever.

Besides having an excuse to watch Love Actually more times than necessary (and rewinding certain scenes to watch over again cause they're just that good...yeah, I know I have a problem). The holidays also mean it's time for get-togethers with family and friends, as well as those ultimate work parties that never fail to entertain. So while you may have an arsenal of amazing party dresses for the season, don't forget to show you feet a little love too (a "foot party", perhaps? No? I'm trying too hard, I know).

From velvety reds, shimmering metallics, and elegant blacks, I've rounded up 21 holiday heels that will see you through your every holiday fete :)

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for reading!

'Rock the Vote' in These Election-Themed Outfits

It's finally here. All the campaigning and debating has finally lead up to this point - Election Day. Here at KATNP we want to help you be as prepared (fashionably, of course) for the elections as possible, and what better way than giving you some style inspirations! So whether your #TeamObama or #TeamRomney here are three looks that will see you through the voting booths and beyond as we all wait on pins and needles to find out who will be the next President of the United States!

Rock the Vote 1
(Madewell Promenade Coat - $268 / Merona Polka Dot Tie Blouse - $24.99 / Current Elliott Stiletto White Jeans - $175 / ALDO Wenger Tote - $150 / Chinese Laundry Verano OTK Boot - $69.95 / Madewell Super Ciccio Eyeglasses - $134 / NARS Red Lizard Lipstick - $24)

Show a little patriotism at work with this red, white, and blue ensemble. I love the delicate polka dot blouse (only $25 at Target!) paired with a tote in the must have pop of color for election day - red! Top it off with a classic, neutral pea coat and don't shy away from those white jeans! Yes, it's after Labor Day but rules of fashion were meant to be broken ;]

Rock The Vote 2
(TopShop MOTO Crop Denim Bleach Jacket - $40 / Mango V-Neck Sweater Dress - $39.99 / ModCloth Tweed As Can Be Boots - $68.99 / American Apparel Knee High Sock, Cinnamon - $10 / TopShop Colour Block Lady Crossbody - $50 / Anne Klein Round Leather Strap Watch - $55 / Juicy Couture Bow Starter Charm Bracelet - $58 / Essie -  Apertif, Aruba, Blanc - $8ea.)

A casual day spent at the polls requires a comfy sweater dress layered with a cropped denim jacket and Americana themed scarf. Complete the look with a pair of chunky booties and knee high socks to be totally cozy-chic and voter ready.

Rock the Vote 3
(Wallis Red Ponte Blazer Jacket - $56 / TopShop 'Gabriella' Faux Leather Pants - $64 / Converse All Star Hi-Top - $50 / Nasty Gal Fringe Suede Tote - $125)

This last look is all about keeping it casual and fun. Last election I watched the results while enjoying election-themed jello shots at a local pizzeria with close friends, and while this election may not be as exciting for me, you can still be prepared to party rock with a pair of faux leather pants and a sharp red blazer. Keep the look easy with an american flag tee and a fresh pair of Chucks, or swap in some sassy heels if you're really going out on the town.

However you work it and whatever you do make sure you get out there and vote for whoever you believe in! Thanks for reading and I'll see you at the polls :)

Shoe Lust: ShopRuche.com

Hi everyone! I was doing a little online shopping this morning and came across this new site (new to me at least, haha) ShopRuche.com. It's a very sweet online indie boutique that has everything from dresses to bags,  home goods and even a bridal section. When I stumbled upon the site I was looking at shoes (surprise surprise!) and holy cow do they have an impressive shoe collection.

As I scrolled through practically every other pair I saw I had to click on as I desperately wanted it, I can see myself easily throwing down for a couple of these beauties. The great thing is all their shoes are very reasonably priced, the problem only arises when you want 6 different pairs at once, haha! I gathered a couple of my favorites below, definitely check out their site for more and don't be surprised if you see a pair (or two!) in a future outfit post ;)

Madewell Fall 2012 Lookbook: Shop it Now!

Hi friends!

You know, nothing makes me happier than a fabulously styled lookbook. I find that they can be even more inspiring than seeing clothes on the runway as you get a glimpse of how different pieces can really be styled for day-to-day life. And while I'm in no rush to have Fall come knocking at our doors, I couldn't resist posting a few looks from Madewell's Fall 2012 Lookbook. It was released a few months ago, but for some reason I only just stumbled upon it and it immediately had me thinking of cozy layers, chunky knits, and printed scarves.

Enjoy my favorite looks below and if you really like what you see hop on over to Madewell's site as the collection is now available for pre-order. :]

Spring is in the Air for TopShop

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! This past Wednesday I attended TopShop's Spring Style Party hosted by Emma Arnold (Tres Awesome) and Amy Creyer (Chicago Street Style). It was one of the first events I've attended and introduced myself as a fashion blogger, I'm slowly trying to network and (hopefully) make new friends within the Chicago blogging scene and I must say I've met some wonderful people so far!

I think the party was a big hit, there was a live DJ, complimentary drinks (which is always a plus in my book, haha!), a beauty bar where you could get your hair and/or nails done, personal shopping stylists, and a fun photobooth. I mostly mixed and mingled within the crowd, hung out with familiar faces including Taylor from The Wearist, Flavia from LuLu Abroad, and Nikia from ChiTown Fashionista, met some new faces and even got to chat with the hosts Amy & Emma for a bit. It was a really fun time!

I took some snaps of their new Spring styles, lots of covetable pieces! I'll definitely be making a trip back to the store to snatch up a few items, as should you ;) Enjoy the photos below!

Colorful denim, including ombre pink!

Canary yellow blazers + minty green knits

Funky prints

kinda obsessed with the print on this dress

What I wore :)

Lots of shoe eye candy, clearly I was really digging the loafers
