And here it is! The final outfit and the mark of the end of my ban on shopping! I'm so excited I can't even begin to tell you what I'm going to buy first....actually I can, it was a pretty awesome skirt and an All Saints dress I'm planning on wearing in L.A. this week :)

Outfitted :: Happy Spring

Hi all! Spring is, technically-speaking, finally here! Though the sun is shining the temps have not decided to match what, from indoors, looks to be like a gorgeous day as it's still around 20 degrees here in Chicago.

But nonetheless with the coming of Spring means the coming of Easter which means the end of my outfit challenge! (oh yeah, you remember that thing? lol) I won't lie, I'm kinda over this challenge and I'm itching to go shopping and actually buy new things.

But alas there are still just over 10 more outfits to go. So let's get to it, shall we? (side note: I'm cutting the number of outfits from 40 to 30 as our week in Colorado totally threw me off since I basically wore ski gear or loungewear the entire time. Nothing outfit post worthy, haha!)

Peter Jensen Sweater (remixed here + here) / Free People Neon Blouse (remixed here, check out more blouses from Free People here) / H&M Boyfriend Jeans (remixed here + here + here) / Old Navy Animal Print Booties (remixed here + here + here) / Gifted Michael Kors Watch

Missoni for Target Zig Zag Blouse (remixed here) / River Island Faux Leather Pants (remixed here + here) / Forever 21 Magenta Booties (remixed here + here) / Marc by Marc Jacobs bag / Random scarf purchased in Italy / Gifted Oversized Fedora + Michael Kors accessories

I find it funny as I was going through past posts looking for when I remixed each item that some of these I've only worn once before, yet I feel I've worn everything a million times over. Another sign that this challenge needs to end soon, lol ;]

Pleione Floral Blouse (remixed here) / Helmut Lang Leather Shorts (remixed here + here + here) / Thrifted Faux Fur Vest (remixed here) / Urban Outfitters Dalmatian Flats (remixed here) / Target Sweater Tights / Rebecca Minkoff Crossbody / Gifted Michael Kors accessories

Last but certainly not least, tomorrow (Thurs, March 21) is Cheeky Chicago's Annual Spring Fashion Show at the 900 Shops on Michigan Ave and while tickets are being sold for $25 I've got a special discount for you fashionable readers to purchase them for $15 off! Yayyy!

You can purchase tickets here and use code CHEEKYCBN at checkout to receive your discount. There is limited space so jump on them and I hope to see you there!

Outfitted :: I'm Ready For My Close-Up

Happy Friday everyone! I was a major slacker on outfit pictures this week, a combination of PMS and crazy snow storms kinda killed any desire to take pictures, let alone get dressed in anything remotely stylish.

However, yesterday I woke up to the sun shining and a new surge of energy that motivated me to do a little early morning photo shoot for all the outfits I'd worn this week. It was quite fun as I was blasting some indie dance hits and bouncing around the apartment much to DCT's amusement.

So here are outfits 14, 15, and 16 for your Friday viewing pleasure!

Missoni for Target blouse / H&M anorak (remixed here and here) / H&M boyfriend jeans (remixed here and here) / Forever 21 booties (remixed here) / Rebecca Minkoff 'Rumor'

Peter Jensen Sweater (remixed here) / Timing polka dot blouse (remixed here) / H&M skinnies / Bucco loafers (remixed here) / Rebecca Minkoff 'Rumor'

Urban Outfitters cropped sweater (remixed here and here) / H&M skirt (remixed here) / Charlotte Russe booties (remixed here) / J.Crew belt / Thrifted skull print scarf (also seen here) / Random bag purchased in Belgium

DCT and I are off to Colorado come Monday! It'll be nice to get out of the city for a few days and explore some place new, we've already planned a dedicated spa day - manis, pedis, couples massage, hot tub!

Who actually goes to a ski resort to ski? Not us. :)

Thanks for reading and have a fabulous weekend!

Outfitted :: Skull Candy

It's outfit #10! I've made it a quarter of the way through with only 30 more outfits to go..............that's a little depressing as that's still a lot of outfits I have to come up with, especially when I feel I've been doing this for 20 days instead of 10, haha!

Outfitted :: Snowy Day Layers

As I'm typing this, snow is continuing to fall here in Chicago, these pictures don't do justice for how much snow is now on the ground. I won't lie it makes for beautiful scenery and if it's going to be this cold you might as well have some snow to go along, right?

What I like about snow days is that yes it's cold, but it's not freezing like it was a couple days ago, some simple layers is all you really need to get by. My essentials are a fuzzy sweater, wool coat, chunky scarf, and knit gloves.Very simple yet very effective for keeping nice and toasty in the snowy elements.

Jessica Simpson Coat (super old!) / Vintage Sweater / Free People blouse (also worn here) / Circle scarf / Urban Outfitters gloves / H&M Jeans / Charlotte Russe Booties / Marc by Marc Jacobs bag

These gloves were a must Urban Outfitters sale purchase. I had misplaced my previous pair/certain my cats had took off with them and hid them in the deepest, darkest corner beneath my couch. But of course, as soon as I returned home with newly warmed hands, my old gloves *magically* reappeared....My cats are such a**holes sometimes.

In other news, I found out one of my best girlfriends from college got engaged last night! I'm so excited for her, we've come a long way since freshmen year of college and now I have a NYC/DC wedding to look forward to in the near future!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, no real plans on my end, just a little R&R and blog prep, there's a lot of planning for Kinks are the New Pink for the future! As always, thanks for reading and Happy Friday!!

Outfitted: Lazy Day Wear

*Wearing: PJ by Peter Jensen Sweater (sold out) / F21 Stripe Skirt / Target Tights / H&M Loafers (cute alternatives from Urban Outfitters & Nasty Gal) / ASOS Boyfriend Beanie / Rebecca Minkoff 'Rumor' Bag

It's Friday? This week went by super fast, did it not? I don't know about you all but this has to be the weirdest winter I have yet to experience in Chicago. It's almost mid-January, we've had one tiny little snow storm and I feel totally warm and cozy heading out the house in just a chunky sweater, tights, and flats. What the what?!

I'm not going to lie, this outfit was very randomly put together, but somehow it seems to work. I recently grabbed this PJ by Peter Jensen sweater at work (I've been snatching up some great finds lately!) and wanted to wear it, but wasn't in the mood to wear pants, and while the sweater is oversized, it's not long enough to cover my bum so 'leggings-as-pants' wasn't option. As I was digging around in my dresser scrounging for something (anything!) to wear, realizing how badly I need to do laundry, I came across this skirt in a far, dark corner of my drawer. After beating out the wrinkles I decided this'll do, threw on some tights, my fancy flats, a beanie (my ultimate lazy day accessory) and headed out the door.

I could literally sleep in this outfit it's so comfy, but I didn't...just so you know...though I won't lie it has happened before ;)

Hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for reading!

Outfitted: Neon + A Cloche

Merona Wool Hat / Free People Neon Blouse (similar) / American Apparel Sweater / H&M Purple Corduroy Pants (similar) / Audrey Brooke Riding Boots / Jessica Simpson Coat / Rebecca Minkoff Bag

Who says you can't wear crazy color combinations in the middle of winter? Not me, obviously.
Hot pink and purple? Sure.
Neon yellow and pumpkin orange? Sign me up.
Throw them all in together? Why the hell not?

I picked this cloche hat up at Target while waiting what seemed an eternity to get new tires on my car; lucky for Pep Boys, Target was right down the street and I was easily distracted by their Neiman Marcus Collection and other newly arrived goodies. I realized I had yet to purchase gloves for this winter and of course if I'm buying gloves I should get a hat too, naturally.

I tried on several different styles (all while passive-aggressively fighting for the mirror with another woman trying on scarves) before deciding on this pink number. I figure it'll be a great pop of color for those dreary winter days and a fun item to simply play mixing and matching with other items in my closet.

I love colorful winter accessories, they're so unexpected in a sea of blacks, browns, and greys during the winter season. Do you have any colorful winter accessories you're obsessed with?

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
