Outfitted: Prints & Dots

Hi everyone! I was a mixing prints fanatic for this outfit! Florals and polka dots and African-inspired prints, they're all quite different, but somehow manage to work together. I'm so happy that the warmer weather seems to be here to stay, summertime Chi is the best! I have so many little adventures planned, I can't wait to share them with you all!

Also, in case you missed it, KATNP was featured a couple of times this past week! I had a chat with Nika from Black Fashion Bloggers as well as had this post featured in IFB's Links a la Mode! If you haven't yet, go check them out ;)

Cheers to the weekend!

Hi everyone! Did you miss me? Haha ;) I'm almost in the clear with school, Saturday is officially the last day and I have one more project to finish up then it is totally summer party mode!

In addition to that, DCT and I finally found an apartment which we're super excited about, it's in a new neighborhood, it'll literally take me two minutes to walk to work, and it's close to great friends :) I'm super pumped! We even get to move in early, which is great as we get to bypass all the June 1st move-in madness, but that also means we have to get our stuff together ASAP, which should be fun seeing as we both have a lot of stuff (me probably more so than DCT...).

But on to other things, such as this outfit! If you've been following my blog for some time now you'll know I'm not one to shy away from colors. I welcome and embrace them, the bolder and brighter the better.  This was one of the first hot and sunny days we've had in Chicago and I thought why not match the day with some hot and bright colors. I love how the neon pink of the dress pairs with the neon yellow of the belt. I've found that this belt, though a statement on it's own, really brings out the color of any item it's paired with (see it worn here as well), who knew a neon yellow belt could be so versatile ;)

I hope y'all enjoy the rest of your week, I'm going to try and get another post up, but I can't promise anything, finals + moving = craziness. But once everything calms down I have tons of post ideas just waiting to make an appearance on here :)

Thanks so much for reading!

Outfitted: Hot Pink + Bicycles

Hello there lovely readers and Happy Friday! This week flew by (April in general is flying by, how are we already halfway through the month?) and it's more than likely because, as I mentioned, this week is my Spring Break and those always fly by.

It's been really nice not having to worry about getting school work done as I can dedicate that time towards other things such as, oh I don't know...creating a brand new logo for the blog! Y'all noticed it, right? Haha :) I hope y'all like it, I've been wanting a new header/logo for awhile now and had been hmm-ing & haa-ing over asking someone to create one for me, when I finally decided to just do it myself. I have a general understanding of Photoshop and it was very exciting to see my vision come to life, and the fact that I did it all by myself (with a little help from Photoshop tutorials here and there, haha) makes me love it even more :)

Enough about my header, lets talk about this outfit! I've been quite lazy this past few days (again, Spring Break!), so this is one of my lazy/shopping (cause I can do that again! yayyy!) day outfits. It may not look like it, but this outfit is pure comfort! An easy-going, cotton button-up (in a bright color, of course), a cozy sweater with a fun print, loose fitting jeans, and comfy wedges creates a lazy, yet still put-together, ensemble.

Any plans for the weekend? I have lots of events & birthdays to attend, it'll be a busy, yet fun, couple of days and then it's back to the grind on Monday, haha! I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
